Tour Plan
The Mezzacapo Palace in Maiori is a historic building dating back to the 18th century. Once the residence of the Mezzacapo family, it features elegant architecture with a blend of Baroque and Neoclassical styles. The palace is renowned for its beautifully landscaped gardens, designed in a cross shape symbolizing the Maltese Cross, which offer a serene and picturesque setting. Today, the palace serves as a cultural hub, hosting exhibitions, events, and public visits, showcasing its rich history and charm.
The Antichi Lavatoi in Maiori, Italy, are a fascinating example of traditional public washhouses, dating back centuries. Located near the town's historic center, these stone structures were once a vital community hub where residents gathered to wash clothes and socialize. Fed by natural spring water, the washhouses are adorned with arches and rustic stone basins, reflecting the simplicity and practicality of their design. Today, they stand as a charming testament to Maiori’s cultural heritage, offering visitors a glimpse into the daily life of the past.
The Belvedere overlooking Maiori from the San Pietro hamlet offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the Amalfi Coast. Perched on a hillside, this scenic spot provides a stunning vista of Maiori’s coastline, with its expansive beach, vibrant town, and lush surrounding hills. The viewpoint is a serene escape, ideal for soaking in the natural beauty and capturing the charm of this iconic Mediterranean landscape. It’s a must-visit for those exploring the quieter, picturesque corners of the Amalfi Coast.
Nestled among the sun-kissed terraces of the Amalfi Coast, this enchanting lemon garden tells the story of three generations of passion and tradition. Known affectionately as Nonno Luigi’s Garden, this land has been lovingly cultivated by the grandparents of Luigi’s grandfather, and continues to thrive today thanks to the family’s deep-rooted dedication.
The garden spans at least eight breathtaking terraces, each one offering panoramic views and centuries-old wisdom. As you enter, Teresa—our wonderful guide and a proud member of the family—will welcome you and lead the way through the various corners of this living heritage.
You’ll visit the historic cellar, once used to store wine and lemons, and a small family museum that holds objects, photos, and tools from a bygone era. Along the way, Teresa will share stories and demonstrate traditional farming methods—how lemon trees are grafted, how the terraces are maintained, and the secrets behind growing such vibrant and fragrant lemons.
This is more than a garden—it's a journey into the soul of the Amalfi Coast, where every leaf holds a memory, and every lemon carries the flavor of a family's love.
At our Family Lemon Farm, visitors can enjoy a small tasting of local products featuring the iconic Amalfi Coast lemon. The experience includes specialties such as the renowned limoncello, lemon-infused desserts, and other delicacies that highlight the vibrant citrus flavor. This unique addition enhances the visit, combining history with the authentic taste of Maiori’s culinary traditions.
